Review of Bissell Big Green Complete Home-Cleaning System, 7700

Bissell Big Green Complete Home-Cleaning System, 7700
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was really excited about this because of the multi-function use. At the same time, I was skeptical. Our little dog likes to pee in small places on the carpet, so we needed good carpet cleaner that would deep clean these areas.

The carpet cleaner works very well. Both the large cleaner extension and the handheld spray and suction the water, which most others do not do. It was a decision between this and the Hoover Agility. The Agility does not seem to have a sprayer on the extension hose.

When it comes to the vacuum, it's not that great. The suction is only good enough for area rugs. The carpet extension has a air powered brush that stops working on normal carpet and it only cleans the top surface debris.

So, if you want something for hardwood and deep carpet cleaning this is great. Just don't try to replace a regular vacuum cleaning with this.

Product Description:
For a thoroughly clean home without all the space-consuming equipment, this thoughtfully designed cleaner functions as three units in one. It vacuums carpets, floors, and hard-to-reach areas; deep cleans carpets and upholstery; and washes sealed hard-floor surfaces. Not bad for a unit that takes up just over 2 square feet of floor space. The versatile cleaner provides easy-to-use push-button controls, bagless technology, and a 1-2/7-gallon tank capacity. When in deep-cleaning mode, its built-in heater quickly heats hot tap water up to 25 degrees hotter for enhanced results. On-board vacuum tools include a multi-surface floor tool, an air-powered floor TurboBrush, a 5-inch brush, a crevice tool, and a dust brush, as well as a carpet deep-cleaning tool, a drain cleaner, a 4-inch upholstery tool, and a hard-floor tool. The hard-floor tool uses a washable micro-fiber pad that helps lift and remove dirt from tile, vinyl, laminates, and sealed hardwood surfaces.
Even more, the home-cleaning system features three-stage filtration. Its water filtration captures large debris and dust, the washable foam filter captures fine particles, and the HEPA media filter cleans and filters the air. Other highlights include a quick-release cord wrap, a quick-release hose door, an 8-foot upholstery hose, and an 18-foot power cord, along with Microban antimicrobial protection, which fights the growth of odor causing bacteria, mold, and mildew in the machine, keeping it cleaner and fresher between uses. Additional items include a 16-ounce bottle of Fiber Cleansing Formula, an 8-ounce bottle of Hard Floor Solutions, a mesh bag, and two hard-floor micro-fiber pads. The home-cleaning system measures 13 by 24 by 54-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Review of Steam Vac Dual V with Spinscrub

Steam Vac Dual V with Spinscrub
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have now purchased 3 of these machines. The first one was returned to the store less than 6 months after it was purchased because the intake water bucket broke where the handle connects to the bucket and locks down the lid.At the time we returned the first one, we got one for my mom and another one for me, thinking that perhaps the first one was just faulty. Not true. The two new machines broke in exactly the same manner.I have had my machine less than two years and the motor has now burned out on it.You cannot get replacement parts. If you call Hoover for help, you get a "voice mail" runaround. They ended up sending me to a "dealer" that was 20 miles (one way)from my house and when I got there, she informed me that not only did she not have replacement parts, she didn't even sell that machine!I thought this was going to be a great machine - it does a pretty good job of cleaning, but the plastic buckets need to be overhauled. Also - the hand-held attachment for cleaning upholstry, etc. does not work that well.Instead of water coming out and spraying like it should, it just dribbles down your arm.I hate to badmouth a product, but I will never buy another Hoover product again. When will manufacturers learn that we would rather pay a little more for a durable product than less for a cheap one.

Review of Bissell ProHeat 2X Select Upright Deep Steam Cleaner

Bissell ProHeat 2X Select Upright Deep Steam Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I shopped online for weeks before deciding. I have been borrowing Bissell carpet cleaners for a while, this one seems to be the best so far. Assembly was easy. It was a little heaver then I expected. I like the water resivoir, they have improved the seals & latches. The stairs are labor intensive, as the water shoots out very concentrated & it takes a lot of work to get them dry. Maybe it just takes a while to get the hang of it. Overall, glad I bought it.

Review of Earth Friendly Carpet Shampoo (976608)

Earth Friendly Carpet Shampoo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I went with this brand because my son is slowly working on his crawling skills and tends to scoot himself face down. I would rather not have toxic chemical residue from the regular carpet shampoos on his face and in his mouth. It did a good job cleaning my (fairly clean already) light colored carpet and smells quite nice. However, I was a tad disappointed. It is NOT 40:1. The instructions say to use 1.5 to 2.5 oz per gallon of water. I went with the 1.5 and there is no way this bottle will do 3 average sized rooms; I just did my dining nook and small living room and used over half the bottle. If you have medium to large rooms, get more than one bottle.

Review of Hoover F7425-900 SteamVac Dual V with SpinScrub Hand Tool

Hoover F7425-900 SteamVac Dual V with SpinScrub Hand Tool
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having been so frustrated with my Bissell steam vac that I turned into very small pieces, it was clearly time for a new unit. With a labrador retriever in the house, and a dachshund that my wife refuses to house-train, we are in constant need of a steamvac.I consulted a friend, who suggested the Hoover V2.
I brought it home yesterday and assembled it.Assembly was easy, although I did note that the attachment tools carriage was incredibly flimsy, and did a very poor job of actually holding the tools. The only use I can see for this piece of CPS is if you're storing your steamvac in the garage for a few months. You can't really use the steamvac with the hose wrapped in place, as it doesn't stay in place for very long and quickly gets in the way.
The tanks lift in and out quite easily, and the solution/water tank is far superior to the old Hoover mixing tank. However, it is very "tall", and thus I was unable to fill it from our upstairs bathroom sinks. This was not the case with the previous Hoover and Bissell models that I've owned.
I had it up and running pretty quickly, and was impressed right away. The unit did a great job compared with itsunfortunate predecessor. On the first empty of the recovery tank, I did notice that there is no convenient spout, so you have to be careful when pouring out the recovered fluid.I also noticed when I first removed the recovery tank that fluid spilled out as the unit rotated. This was irritating (see the aforementioned dachshund comment).
Overall, yesterday I was quite pleased with the performance, despite the minor inconveniences.
Today, however, I tried to complete the upstairs & stair cleaning with the steamvac, and my opinion of the device and Hoover has reached a low point. As of this morning, the unit was very leaky.Water from the clean tank pours out & down the back of the unit at a ferocious rate.During use, the water spits out behind the unit.It appears that the clean water and the solution are mixed in a piece of foam that sits beneath the solution & water tanks.this foam is retained by a piece of thin (plastic?), which on my steamvac is angled toward the back, exposing the foam at the rear.As this is where the water spits out, I assume that either the foam is oversaturated, or Hoover has just managed to ignore the fact that a leaking steamvac is not an attractive option to the customer.
Being in a fairly bad mood, I proceeded to the Hoover website, to look at the troubleshooting section. No surprise - the troubleshooting part of the website is limited to a collection of trite FAQ's regarding the steamvac, clearly written by someone in marketing from the point of view of "what kind of things might we put on our website to make it look like some customer concerns were being addressed, while really just providing some clever reassurances for people considering purchase."
Now in the mood to unleash some choice pejoratives to the good folks at Hoover, I looked about their website for an email address.I did find a section where I could register the steamvac, and provide not only my email address, but all salient facts about my life. However, despite Hoover's apparent interest in contacting me, they did not provide a means to contact them. This implies to me that: a) they're sick ofthe volume of email complaining about their shoddy product, b) they just don't care, c) their webmaster is as incompetent as their engineers.
In any case, had I written this review yesterday, I would have rated the SteamVac V2 as a four or five star.Today, however, it gets a 1, and without some fast talking by the repairman, this particular SteamVac will be heading back to the manufacturer.

Review of Bissell 9300-P ProHeat 2x Turbo Carpet Deep Cleaner

Bissell 9300-P ProHeat 2x Turbo Carpet Deep Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My old Hoover steam cleaner just quit working so I decided to buy a new one.I looked at Hoover reviews and Bissell reviews. In the past I had one of those old Bissell cleaners that hooked up to the sink, lots of cables, cords, etc.Cleaned great but what a nightmare.Anyway, I was ready to get another Hoover because I read
bad reviews of the Bissell, but there were also good reviews so I took a chance.I LOVE this machine. The two in one (bladder and dirty water) worked great.I didn't have to lug around two separate containers like in the Hoover. It worked fine. The dirty water did not contaminate the clean.I also like the fact that it heats the
water another 25 degrees. The Hoover water got cold pretty quick. The Hoover had rotating round brushes.I
never liked that.I felt it just pushed the dirt around on the floor and didn't pick it up.The Bissell has the roller rotating brushes and boy does it pick up the dirt and also grooms the carpet. It looks new. There were chunks
of dog hair and rug fiber around the floor.I didn't mind picking it up since I knew that hair was no longer in the carpet.I guess my vacuum cleaner needs to be updated too.I vacuum almost every day because of our
dog but obviously lots of fur was still in the rug.The Hoover never picked it up like that.Yes, I have only
used it once but I have a feeliing this will be a long relationship.Oh yes, you can really get the whole thing clean.I could never get the fibers and hair from under the cap of the Hoover (area where dirty water is sucked up). With the Bissell I could take it all apart and wash everything!I am sold.
