(More customer reviews)This little steamer is the first for me. Have cats and bird and my house had this unpleasant odor. First I bought a brand new powerful upright and this got out dirt I never knew existed. Sadly, even with all the dirt gone, the smell persisted until I bought the Quicksteamer by Bissell. OMG it was embarrassing. This little machine picked up even more dirt, black dirty water. My beautiful orientals are 10 shades brighter and the unpleasant smell has finally found another place in which to reside. Bye, bye bad smell and dirt and hello springtime! It doesn't have the powerful rotating brush (have that on my vacuum) but it cleans and grooms beautifully. I have found that since using his cleaner and I used it often because it is actually fun to use, that the vacuum seems to pick up even more dirt than usual. I don't know the science behind it but between the Bissell cleaning solution and Quicksteamer action, you get one professional looking clean carpet afterwards. I went out and bought "Little Green" by Bissell too. Thats for tight small areas and stairs and Whow to that too.

(More customer reviews)I ordered my filters and they were shipped from Promax.After doing more research in my area I found the filters about half the price at my local Target store.I posted a review on Amazon stating that I was upset that I had paid more from Amazon/Promax and that even tho I would continue to buy from Amazon, I would not order from Promax again.I received my order and posted my review.I then received 3 phone calls and two e-mails from Promax wanting to know what they could do to resolve my opinion -- David actually told me they "lived and died" by their reviews and asked me to please take down my negative review and they would do whatever they could to make me happy.I was out of town, however, I took my review down on 4/24 and called the company back today, 4/27, to tell them I had taken the review down. Promax rep David, on speaker phone, ask me what price I had bought the same item from from Target, would he be able to go online and verify the price, that he would not refund my shipping, he actually said I knew how much I was paying for the item when I hit "send" on my order, and there was no way they would refund my shipping--I should know that I had to pay shipping when I buy something.Needless to say, I am now extremely unhappy with this whole Promax experience.When they wanted me to take down my review they were absolutely wonderful; after I took down my review I was the idiot.I told them not to worry about any type of refund, to expect my negative review back online.

I would hope anyone out there would run as fast as they could from this company.In this day and age customer service is a must for any business.This company is AWFUL.As I stated before -- I will continue to buy from Amazon, but if what I need is only available from Promax--I will do without.

(More customer reviews)I hate cleaning house, or in my case, apartment! There are so many wonderful, worthwhile things I could be doing with my time rather than dusting, sweeping and mopping. Sleeping-in on weekends is high on that list of activities. However, I cannot abide living in filth. Sigh. So, clean I must. And then a dear friend of mine, a compulsive cleaner, turned me on to Swiffer products. After receiving a firsthand demonstration from my enthusiastic pal, I purchased the "Swiffer Duster with Extendable Handle."

Wake up fellow humans!! The Swiffer Duster takes the yuck, or most of it, out of cleaning...well, at least the dusting part!! I have two cats, so eliminating their hair more easily is a major plus! This amazing little dusting apparatus, similar in design to an old-fashioned feather duster, cuts down on dust, invisible particles and pet hairs, in no time flat!

This starter package comes with two sturdy plastic handles which extend to 3 feet in length. Two disposable Swiffer dusters are included, so I would recommend buying a package of refills along with this purchase, since once you use a duster you throw it out along with whatever it picks up. You simply insert the duster onto the handle, shake to fluff, and dust. Dry cloths are extra-thick with unique, V-shaped ridges that pick up more dirt, etc., than traditional methods of cleaning. The Swiffer fibers create an electrostatic charge, that when wiped across a surface, attracts dust/dirt, hair, and other gunk. Then the trademark "Lift and Lock" pockets hold the dirt to stop it from returning to your clean floor or surface

I find Swiffer Dusters are particularly good for getting into hard-to-reach places, like under and behind the computer monitor, keyboard, TV screen, sound system equipment - they're fabulous for cleaning ceiling fans, around knickknacks, and my personal nemesis - loaded bookshelves!! The pivoting head can be adjusted and locked into four different positions to clean angled surfaces, such as above mentioned ceiling fans, venetian blinds, cabinet corners, baseboards and tight spaces.

Some folks complain that the refills are expensive and I agree, to some extent. Although for me, they're worth every single penny because after I dust, both dust and duster go directly into the trash and out my door - Do Not Pass Go; Do Not Collect $200! Weigh your priorities. I'd rather brown bag it to work and cut my cleaning time in half. Check it out. You won't hear me cheering often about anything that has to do with cleaning.

(More customer reviews)I don't know how Hoover is getting away with this, but this thing called a "SteamVac" is no more a steam cleaner than my Dyson vacum cleaner.This is nothing more than an old fashioned carpet shampooer. I've returned it and put a call into Hoover about the deceptive advertising.I was told if I "thought" it had steam, I should have read the box to be sure! Why would you read the outside of the box to find out if something called a SteamVac has a heating element?Wouldn't that be like going to a car lot and checking under the hoods to see if the model you want comes with an engine? Besides that I didn't have a box to read...I ordered this thru Amazon and
it came in an unmarked brown box with no writing and no pics, so even that suggestion was a bit redundant.In checking out other Hoover models called SteamVac...I am 99.9% sure NONE of them steam. I was told by a Hoover rep that the name "SteamVac" is simply a trade name!In other words being called a steam vac does not mean a thing.Like I've said I can't imagine how Hoover is getting away with this kind of deception, but I know I will never, ever, under any circumstance trust the name Hoover again.

(More customer reviews)I was really excited about this because of the multi-function use. At the same time, I was skeptical. Our little dog likes to pee in small places on the carpet, so we needed good carpet cleaner that would deep clean these areas.

The carpet cleaner works very well. Both the large cleaner extension and the handheld spray and suction the water, which most others do not do. It was a decision between this and the Hoover Agility. The Agility does not seem to have a sprayer on the extension hose.

When it comes to the vacuum, it's not that great. The suction is only good enough for area rugs. The carpet extension has a air powered brush that stops working on normal carpet and it only cleans the top surface debris.

So, if you want something for hardwood and deep carpet cleaning this is great. Just don't try to replace a regular vacuum cleaning with this.

(More customer reviews)I have used the Little Green Machine in the past and bought this to use on the cars that I detail and small stains on rugs in the house. I use it for small areas which are soiled with coffee or soda. I bought it because it had a higher amperage rating than the Green Machine. I have used it and it works very well for small areas. The water heater is just OK and I find that using an external source like an external sprayer and brush to loosen and wet the stain/dirt works the best; then I use the Bissell to suck up all the residue. I like the power of the suction and it works well. The dirty water tank has a cut off feature that will "pop" when filled to the limit which is nice, so you won't overfill it. After using it I clean it out any leftover dirt or stuff in the hose, tank or fittings. I know some reviews have said that it doesn't work well or clogs, but I have found that taking a little time to clean it out when done will eliminate most of those problems. Good for smaller areas; best to use proper cleaner for the stains.

(More customer reviews)After trying the Tobi, which was pretty useless, and reading a number of good reviews of this, I bought one. Well, it constantly spewed water, making both the garment I was steaming, and the floor messy & wet....
I was also surprised that the steam coming out was not all that hot, and wasn't really loosening up stuff in my shower & in the toilet bowl, not did it even "refresh" a shirt, nor do a very good job at taking out wrinkles. It was difficult using it & not get everything all wet, even with the bonnet on; not good on "dry clean only" garments. Needless to say, very disappointing...
